The post requires:
The Governors at Brynhyfryd Primary School require a motivated, organised and experienced caretaker with excellent communication skills to fully undertake and manage all premises issues to ensure our school site is maintained to a high standard at all times. You will work alongside another School Site Manager.

The successful candidate will have excellent up to date knowledge of health and safety procedures and will take responsibility for the maintenance of the school, building and grounds as well as day-to-day upkeep and repairs. They will ensure that the school complies with all aspects of health and safety policy and procedures, so that pupils are able to learn in a safe, secure and high quality learning environment.

Duties will include: • The security of the school site • Being the primary keyholder for the school site • Responding to emergencies and call outs • Ensuring that the school complies with Health and Safety regulations • Ensuring that routine maintenance is undertaken • Supervision of the school cleaning team • Undertaking routine repair and maintenance tasks, including working at heights • A full list of duties can be found in the Job Description below.

Brynhyfryd Primary School is in Brynhyfryd, Swansea, about two miles north of the city centre. The school opened in September 2015 following the amalgamation of the previous infant and junior schools. Currently, the school has 487 pupils on roll, including 90 in the nursery who attend on a part-time basis. Pupils are taught in 17 single-age classes on two sites.
