The governors are seeking to appoint an excellent and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated and skilled team of professionals in our happy and caring village school. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has proven ability and expertise and can demonstrate the highest standards of learning support. The successful candidate will be a creative thinker who embraces change and believes in teamwork and collaboration.

You will be supporting learners to achieve their full potential, facilitating high quality learning activities, and taking an active role in the life of the school. You will be responsible for working alongside teachers in planning, preparation and delivery of learning activities for individuals / groups or short term for whole classes and monitoring pupils and assessment, recording and reporting on pupil achievement, progress and development.

We are looking for someone who:
  • Is able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Has excellent communication skills and is committed to building positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff.
  • Has experience of working across the primary phase setting and in delivering high quality teaching and learning.
  • Has the passion and energy to make a difference to pupils and can enthuse, motivate and engage children in all areas of learning.
  • Is able to support children with a wide range of additional learning needs.
  • Is able to deliver support through a trauma informed approach.
  • Is flexible and reactive to the needs of pupils in their care.
  • Is committed to high standards and is willing to help develop high quality learning experiences.
  • Will be willing to contribute to the broader life of the school community.
