Classroom Teacher - Garnteg Primary School

At Garnteg Primary School, we are looking for a lively, innovative and creative teacher who will bring inclusive values and vision, energy and motivation to the classroom to join our dedicated and supportive team of staff. We wish to appoint an inspirational, highly motivated practitioner who is passionate about providing a rich and creative curriculum that meets the needs of our learners. This person will deliver high quality teaching, whilst successfully nurturing and inspiring our children; they will have high expectations for our learners and enable them to achieve their full potential. They will also be expected to demonstrate commitment to school improvement whilst maintaining a healthy and happy learning environment and join in our highly successful team dedicated to our values and visions for our pupils, staff governors and community all a primary focus at Garnteg Primary School.

The post will be for a general primary practitioner Reception to Year 6 to join the team in either Foundation Phase or Key Stage 2.

The successful candidate will:-
  • demonstrate a good understanding of Curriculum for Wales approaches and Pedagogical principles
  • have excellent teaching, organisational and communication skills
  • work effectively as part of a team
  • have the ability to build good relationships with parents and the wider school community
  • be enthusiastic and have high expectations and a drive to raise standards.
  • be dedicated and hardworking
  • have excellent attendance and punctuality

Shortlisted candidates will be subject to a lesson observation prior to the interview. Candidates are welcome to visit school through arrangement with the Headteacher.
