ASD Teaching Assistant Level 2 (19.5 hours) - Cwmbran High School

Cyflog: Grade 4 | SCP 7-10 | £24,294 - £25,545 PRO RATA

Cwmbran High School is seeking to employ an energetic and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support the pupils in the ASD and Deaf resource base.

The successful applicant will need to support our pupils using TIS, ASD PCP and total communication strategies including signing where possible. They will need to be willing to develop these skills as part of a team. They will also work with the team to create and maintain the most positive ethos possible among the students and so raise their attainment. This post will commence September 2024.

As a minimum the successful candidate must possess a good general school education. They must also have experience of working with children/adults with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and have an understanding of Deaf awareness.

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure & Barring Service.

This post requires registration with the EWC - Education Workforce Council.
