INTERNAL JOB - this vacancy is only available to Torfaen County Borough Council (TCBC) employees and agency workers currently engaged with TCBC.

We are looking for a highly organised, enthusiastic, friendly, and motivated person to join the Schools Catering Team. You will need good communication skills, be able to show initiative, be an excellent team player, and have high standards of hygiene. You will be required to have the ability and confidence to thrive in a busy environment.

As the successful candidate you will be required to assist in all areas of the catering operation to achieve the essential standards.

Duties will include preparation and serving of appetising meals, ensuring cleanliness the kitchen and dining hall, and operating the cashless catering till system.

You will observe and comply with Food Safety Regulations, Health and Safety procedures

and undertake any training considered necessary for the post at any location considered suitable by the Catering Manager.

Be willing to work at other sites at the request of the Catering Manager.

Always ensure the safe and correct use of all kitchen equipment.

You will be required to keep full and accurate entries and records in all books/forms in accordance with administrative procedures laid down by the Catering Department.
