About us
Our Victorian red brick building is over 100 years old, but we feel that our educational approach to be the best up-to-date practice for our children. We have a tradition of a happy environment, sound educational standards and a genuine concern for the welfare of our children.

It has always been our policy that all stakeholders should be involved with us in ensuring that our children are happy during their time in our school with communication being a key aspect to ensuring consistency.

We are proud of our school and are looking for a Caretaker who will take the same pride in ensuring that the building and grounds are the best they can be at all times.

About the Role
Caretaker

Pay Details: Grade 4 SCP 5-7 (£23500 - £24294) pro rata

Hours of Work / Weeks per year / Working Pattern:

Hours of work 31.25hrs per week

The post is a 52 week per year role and all holidays are to be taken during school holidays.

Holiday entitlement is initially 25 days increasing to 30 days with experience.

Monday to Friday, 08:45 to 16:00 with 1-hour unpaid lunch break

In addition, the caretaker will be paid additional hours, term time only, to undertake a home to school and school to home transport service if required between:

7:45am and 9:00am / 3:00pm and 4:15pm (approx. 12.5 hours per week)

Main Place of Work: Jenner Park Primary School

There may be a requirement for variation to the hours of work on occasion in line with the needs of the school, for example, meetings, functions, building works, letting arrangements. Any variation to hours of work will be notified in advance by the Head Teacher / Support Officer.

• Must hold and have held for over two years a current driving licence with D1 entitlement;
• Be willing to undertake relevant training courses and assessments.
