Finance Assistant
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support, facilitate, and record the day-to-day financial transactions of the company, have excellent organisational skills, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Salary Banding: £21,840 - £23,000 dependant on skills and experience
Location: Itec House, Penarth Road.
Contract type: Full-time, permanent.
Working hours: 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 9.00 a.m.–4.30 p.m.
What are the core responsibilities of this role?
• Support with maintaining the purchase ledger ensuring that accurate and up to date information is available at all times.
• Provide support to internal staff and external customers answering financial queries in a timely manner.
• Support with processing monthly JGW+ support cost declaration.
• Processing and reconciliation of JGW+ employer wage subsidy payments
• Support with monthly bank reconciliations (Current, Interest, Credit Card, and Petty Cash)
• Processing staff mileage and expenses claims
• Support with credit chasing for commercial training.
• To support the finance team with carrying out regular departmental audits
• Support with processing of weekly learner payments across all contracts as required.
• To support the finance team with the day-to-day accounting functions
• To support the Finance Manager and colleagues, as required in all aspects of the finance departments duties.
What skills and experience are we looking for in potential applicants?
• GCSE Mathematics or equivalent
• AAT part of full qualified
• Previous administrative experience
• Previous experience in a financial role
• Full driving license with use of own vehicle
