Job Description
Grade 6 - £25,979 for 29 hours per week term time only for 45.8 weeks per annum equating to £17,886 pro rata rising to 46.8 weeks, £20,240.02 pro rata per annum after 5 years' service.
The Governors of Neyland Community School are seeking to appoint an experienced HLTA to work within our new primary school Learning Resource Centre (LRC).
We are excited to be advertising for staff to take on a lead role in developing and setting up our new LRC provision from January 2025. This is an amazing opportunity to be part of a very special part of our journey.
The successful candidate would be expected to contribute to the establishment of a team of highly motivated professionals who will work collaboratively to raise standards at all levels. The applicant must create a positive, nurturing environment where pupils are encouraged to meet their potential. Specialist training will be made available.
Applicants must be an excellent classroom practitioner who are able to compliment the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or for whole classes.

- have the attainment of the Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards or qualifies teacher status or equivalent qualification
- build positive relationships with all learners, their families and the LRC team
- have the ability to create a supportive, welcoming, and well-ordered classroom environment
- have excellent numeracy and literacy skills, equivalent to NVQ Level 2 in English and Maths
