Job Description
Grade 3 - £22,737 for 29 hours per week for 45.8 weeks per annum equating to £15,653.95 pro rata.
Working under the direction of the classroom teacher or senior staff, you will provide support for pupils. This will take the form of assisting the Class Teacher through participation in class/ group/ individual lessons. You will also be expected to assist in the preparation of materials and displays, clear away resources as required, and contribute to the delivery of individual learning plans under the direction of the Class Teacher.
You will need to attend to the pupils' personal needs, and implement related personal programmes, including social, health, hygiene, first aid and welfare matters. You will also be required to supervise and support pupils ensuring their safety and access to learning, including those with special education needs. You will be required to encourage pupils to interact with others in activities and also encourage them to act independently and behave in an appropriate way.
A good standard of education, an understanding of children/ young people's needs and rights, together with excellent communication skills are all essential for this role.
