The Governors of Waunfawr Primary School are seeking to appoint a talented, enthusiastic and committed teacher to cover maternity leave in a Y2/3 class. Governors are looking for a skilful and innovative practitioner, who will work hard to ensure the continuity of learning during the class teacher’s absence.

We are looking for someone who:

• is hard-working and enthusiastic, willing to support all aspects of the school's work and its strong, caring ethos;
• is a passionate and inspirational teacher who is committed to delivering engaging and impactful learning experiences for young children, with a track record of effective practice;
• is committed to raising achievement for all;
• is keen to offer a range of personal skills and abilities to enrich our school community, both during the school day and beyond;
• understands the importance of maintaining high standards of literacy, numeracy and digital competence, and has high standards, personally, in these areas;
• is able to work as part of a highly effective team collaborating very well with teachers and teaching assistants within the setting;
• has good skills in behaviour management;
