Following an excellent Estyn Inspection in October 2023, the Governing Body of Langstone Primary School is seeking to appoint a passionate, enthusiastic and outstanding professional, to assist the newly appointed Headteacher in leading this highly successful school.

The successful candidate will:

· Be an outstanding classroom practitioner, promoting and modelling exemplary practice, providing exciting, creative and challenging learning opportunities, using technology innovatively
· Demonstrate a passion and a high level skill set for leading outstanding teaching and learning across the school
· Lead and promote excellence, equity and high expectations of behaviour, deploying positive behaviour management strategies effectively and consistently
· Ensure that the wellbeing of all children is central to all that they do and build a relationship of mutual respect with the pupils, parents, staff, wider community and the Governing Body
· Show excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
· Motivate, inspire and generate enthusiasm in a team environment and have a flexible and positive approach to challenge and change
· Own a strong professional learning record and articulate aspirations for headship
· Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Curriculum for Wales and in its progression and assessment
· Bring energy, enthusiasm, positivity and drive to fulfil the role to the best of their ability

• Shortlisting: Friday 12th April 2024

• Lesson Observations: 15th – 26th April 2024

• Following this selected candidates to be invited formal professional interviews:

- Day 1 Tuesday April 30th at the school – this will include a tour of the school and tasks

- Day 2 Wednesday May 1st venue tbc – this will include a presentation and formal interview

- NB Full GB meeting to ratify decision 6.30pm
