Job Title: Exam Access Arrangements Administrator
Contract: Fixed Term until July 2024, Term Time Only
Salary: £23,152 - £23,930 per annum
Hours: 15 Hours per week
Location: Dumballs Road, Cardiff

Cardiff and Vale College are looking for a Exam Access Arrangements Administrator to be primarily based at our City Centre Campus in Cardiff. The successful applicant will assist the Inclusive Learning Team with clerical support and the administrative tasks associated with the organisation of access arrangements and reasonable adjustments for exams (AARA). Some of the specific duties of the role include:
  • To work alongside access arrangements assessors to ensure that the JCQ AARA guidelines are followed and learners are supported appropriately in their exams.
  • To ensure learner files are accurate, up to date, and stored in compliance with awarding body regulations and GDPR.
  • To maintain records of management information systems, e.g. EBS Ontrack, OLM, ALN Database.
  • To provide general advice and guidance to staff, learners, parents/carers and others regarding AARA.
  • To liaise with learners, parents/carers, schools/education establishments, external agencies and college staff to identify learners who have may need access arrangements.
  • To provide general clerical/administrative support for the Inclusive Learning Team, e.g. photocopying, filing, completing standard forms, taking minutes and responding to routine correspondence.
You will have a sound educational background with good literacy and numeracy skills. You'll be experienced in using Microsoft Office products and possess a high level of organisational skills including ability to prioritise workloads in line with varied deadlines.

The days and hours for this role can be performed across three days with specific days and times to be discussed at interview.

The ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh would be advantageous but not essential for the role.
