Spittal VC Primary School is seeking a maternity cover for a Year I and 2 class. This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic practitioner, who has a strong commitment to child development and improving teaching and learning for our infant age pupils.

We are looking for someone who:

  • is passionate and knowledgeable about pupil's learning and development, and applies that knowledge in the classroom to secure the best progress possible for all learners
  • has successful experience of improving pupils' skills and experiences in the outdoors
    • has a detailed knowledge and understanding of pedagogy, and is engaged with the learning experiences that are central to current curriculum reform.
