Contract: 0.7 FTE, Fixed Term until December 2024
Salary: £24,051 - £47,333 pro rata, dependent on experience
Hours: 18.5 hours per week
Location: Cardiff and the Vale

An exciting vacancy is available as a Biology and Chemistry Lecturer in the General Education department at Cardiff and the Vale College. This post will be based at the City Centre Campus.
The successful candidate will be responsible for subject planning, delivery and assessment, ensuring a positive and value-driven experience for learners in line with the CAVC mission of transforming lives by unlocking potential and developing skills. We are looking for a passionate, committed teaching professional who can deliver teaching excellence, with a willingness to actively participate in CAVC life.
They will form part of both our STEM and Adult Academic Learning Areas, which aims to give learners the breadth and depth of STEM enrichment and experience.
They will undertake all pedagogic work such as classroom teaching and tutorial work on Access to Higher Education Courses; Biosciences and Health Sciences as well as GCSE and A level Biology and Level 3 BTEC Applied Science. There will be an opportunity to deliver parts of ancillary qualifications such as Study Skills, Welsh Baccalaureate or the Extended Project Qualification.
They will also possess a teacher training qualification or be willing to work towards one, and have a relevant degree
Welsh language skills would be desirable for this role.
