Cover Supervisor (Fixed term – until 31 August 2024)

Grade 5 SCP 12-17; 32.5 hours a week

Annual Salary £26,421 - £28,770 (pro-rata for 39 weeks)

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, efficient, flexible and reliable person to cover the short-term absence of teaching staff, taking sole charge of a group of students. The candidate we are looking for should ideally have experience of working in a school environment supporting the cover of classes, with an enthusiasm for improving students learning. We would like someone with a tolerant and compassionate nature, who is highly adaptable and able to deal with issues in a calm and confident manner.

The main duties of this post will be:

Ensuring students learn by carrying out the work prepared by the classroom teacher. The primary focus will be to maintain good order and keep students on task.

Working hours are 8.30am – 3.30pm, Monday to Friday (which equates to 32.5 hours per week), and is term time only which equals working for 39 weeks a year.
