The role:

As a member of theWelsh Language Development Team, the post holder will play an essential role in the development and implementation of a high quality teaching and learning throughout the Welsh medium / bilingual curriculum acrossGower College Swansea campuses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support, motivate and inspire staff in the implementation of the college's Bilingual Development strategy.
  • To be a role model of good professional and innovative teaching and learning practice with a continual focus on raising standards and ensuring all staff participate in appropriate quality improvement initiatives
  • Ensure that alllearnershave the opportunity todevelop their bilingualskills and where appropriate develop their confidence tousetheir Welsh languageskillsin theirassessments
  • Work with staff to ensurelearners have the opportunity tostudy and complete work through the medium of Welsh orbilingually
About you:
  • Experience of delivering through the medium of Welsh or bilingually.
  • Level 2 (GCSE or equivalent) grade C or above Welsh First Language
  • Welsh Oracy (Listening/Speaking) Level 4 (Fluent)
  • Welsh Literacy (writing/Reading) Level 4 (Fluent)
  • Good interpersonal and organisational skills
