Croesyceiliog is looking for an inspiring Head of Numeracy to join our dedicated team of professionals. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a strong and experienced faculty in a highly ambitious school which is wholly focused on providing every opportunity for students to perform to their very best.
The successful candidate shall be responsible for the development of Numeracy across the curriculum, academic and teaching standards and pupil progress and outcomes within the area of learning experience as defined within the new Curriculum for Wales 2022.
Within our Mathematics, Numeracy and Digital Technology AoLE team there is a wealth of experience, good practice and commitment which prides itself on striving for excellence and high standards. We have one Leader of Faculty who also Leads the Mathematics and Numeracy department, a Leader of Digital Technology and a team of nine specialist teachers of Mathematics. We believe in collaboration and sharing of ideas to develop professional expertise to enhance the learning experiences of our students.
We seek an enthusiastic, innovative and dedicated colleague to make a positive contribution to the Mathematics, Numeracy and Digital Technology Faculty, committed to evidence-based practice with a firm belief in the mathematical potential of every child. We fully believe that if a student can't do something that is either because they lack the pre-requisite knowledge, or they haven't received the right explanation yet. Our aim at Croesyceiliog is to imbue students with our ethos of 'Learning, Respect and Ambition' so that all young people can achieve their full potential.
All new members of staff receive a very strong programme of induction, which includes an allocated member of staff to support with the operational elements of joining a new school, as well as a tailored support package to meet individual needs.
