Description
Active Young People Officer
37 hours per week - Temporary Post until 31 st March 2026, due to funding
£31,537 - £33,143 - GO7
We are seeking an individual who will, as part of a team, be responsible for the delivery of the Active Young People Programme in Wrexham, based within Sports Development
Principle Duties
To maintain an existing programme of sports activities at local Primary and Secondary schools and the wider community.
To work as part of a team to further develop young leaders, Ambassadors and sports volunteers to help support the programme
Must have a flexible approach and ability to work evenings, weekends to support the programme and help schools, clubs and individuals to improve their capacity to create additional sporting opportunities in the communities.
The Council welcomes applications from suitably qualified candidates regardless of race, gender, disability, sexuality, religious belief or age.
The Council is committed to developing its bilingual workforce and welcomes applications from candidates who demonstrate their capability to work in both English and Welsh. Applications submitted in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than an application submitted in English.
