About The Service
You will earn £22,737 per annum working full time (37hrs), or £12.00 per hour per hour pro rata, as we are Voluntary Living Wage Employer. The supplement will be reviewed every April. Cardiff Council reserves the right to make any changes to, or removal of, the Living Wage Supplement.

Our Passport to the City Team is looking to employ a Corporate Apprentice Level 3 Social Media and Data Assistant at the new Ysgol Gynradd Groes Wen Primary School, Rhodfa Plasdŵr, St Fagans, Cardiff CF5 2FG

We are looking to employ a Corporate Apprentice to contribute to our Service by:
  • Helping us to deliver opportunities to children and young people to experience and enjoy the city through a range of activities, such as bespoke workshops, tours or one-off ticketed events.
  • You will help us to deliver these opportunities by assisting us to work with a variety of partners across the city. This may include other Council departments, schools and private organisations.

Our team encourages every child and young person that takes part in our programme to grow in confidence, self-belief and that they enjoy a great range of learning experiences to help develop a broad range of new skills.

We aim to build a sense of local pride and belonging in the city, encouraging children and young people to 'love where they live' and create the spark for their futures.

About the job
In this Corporate Apprentice (Level 3) role you will learn to:
  • Undertake general office administration in a digital environment.
  • Use various software applications.
  • Provide customer service skills.
  • Provide an efficient and effective service and respond to customer enquiries.
  • Create, publish and share social media content.
  • Assist with social media analytics, data and infographics.
  • Use and maintain calendars.
  • Assist in preparing for activities and events.
  • Support our extended team (Cardiff Curriculum) as and when required.

Full training will be provided and our Team will help and encourage you to develop in the role and you will be encouraged to take on a variety of duties. You will receive supervision and on the job training and will have a named mentor to support you to deliver an efficient and effective service in a positive, customer-focused manner.

The Corporate Apprentice & Trainee Scheme also provides opportunities to enhance your transferrable skills to help support your career progression.

Working pattern: Monday - Friday 9:00am-4:30pm

Some flexibility to hours and location may be required due to specific events, but advance notice will be provided if this is the case.
