Teacher of Technology - Croesyceiliog School

Torfaen Local Authority

Cyflog: MPS \/ UPS

Our Technology department hosts a dedicated team of enthusiastic professionals whose aim is to drive our passion for Technology throughout the school. This is supported by the wider school community which is wholly focused on providing every opportunity for students to perform to their very best.

Technology is taught as a discreet subject across Key Stage 3. The school follows the WJEC specification. All lessons are taught across well-equipped classrooms. The department has very high expectations of students and there is a positive picture of improvement in standards in the department, guided by a talented Leader of Science & Technology and their team.

Within our Science and Technology AOLE team, there is a wealth of experience, good practice and commitment. We have one Leader of Faculty who leads the Technology department. The faculty works closely together, believing in collaboration and the sharing of ideas to develop professional expertise in order to enhance the learning experience of our students.

All new members of staff receive a very strong programme of induction, which includes an allocated member of staff to support with the operational elements of joining a new school, as well as a tailored support package to meet individual needs.

All teaching staff are also issued with a school 2-in-1 laptop device. The right candidate will be expected to contribute to the development of the curriculum in line with Curriculum for Wales and teach across both key stages.

Our aim at Croesyceiliog is to imbue pupils with our ethos of 'Learning, Respect and Ambition' so that all young people can achieve their full potential. For our staff, we offer a positive working environment, personal and professional development, a strong team ethos, and recognition for a job well done.
