Following the promotion of our existing Administration and Organisation Assistant (Grade 7), an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our school family.
St Thomas Community Primary School is seeking to appoint a skilled, experienced and highly organised School Administration and Organisation Assistant to play a central role in the effective operation of our school and wider campus.
This is a senior administrative position, requiring initiative, professionalism and the ability to manage school systems and processes, within a large and vibrant primary school. The successful candidate will work closely with the Headteacher and staff to ensure high quality administration as well as be a point of contact for our families and wider community links.

- Is committed to supporting a positive and highly inclusive school community
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Recognises the importance of a public facing role and is friendly and professional to everyone they meet
- Can lead and develop school administrative systems
- Has strong organisational, financial and digital skills
- Is able to lead on day to day financial operations, manage income streams and liaise with payroll to ensure accurate staff pay
- Can monitor school budgets in collaboration with the Headteacher and Governors, lead procurement processes and manage service contracts
- Maintains confidential staffing and HR records
- Prepares for internal and external audits, ensuring financial controls and audit requirements are met and are compliant with finance regulations
- Can manage our community lettings and provide administrative services to our onsite Flying Start setting
- Can act as clerk to our Governing Body
