The post is offered on a part time basis of 37 hours per week, over 39 weeks per year (term time only). Hours of work will be Monday to Thursday 8.30am – 4.30pm, and Friday 8.30am – 4.00pm with 30 minutes given unpaid for lunch. Holidays must be taken during school holiday periods. There is also an expectation that you would be involved in an After School Club and attend Professional Learning Meetings, INSET days and be part of all aspects of school life.

The Headteacher and Governing Body at Clytha Primary School are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant Level 3 (Grade 5) to join our happy school. This position could be considered for a HLTA if an applicant has suitable qualifications and experience. This will be a permanent post and will commence at the start of the Spring Term, January 2026 or as soon as possible.

• Holds the relevant TA L3/HLTA qualification

The appointment process will involve a short interview with the Headteacher and a member of the Governing Body and an in-class observation.

The Governing Body and Local Authority are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS).
