Cardiff Council's Education Catering Service provides over 28,000 nutritious meals daily across 115 primary, secondary, and special education schools. Our mission is to support the educational attainment and well-being of children and young people through excellent catering services.
About the job
At Cardiff Council's Education Catering Service, we believe that every child deserves access to nutritious, delicious meals that fuel their learning and growth. As a Training and Development Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring our workforce is equipped with the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional service.
You will be responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive training programme that meets both mandatory and developmental needs. This includes coordinating and evaluating training courses, supporting compliance with food safety and nutritional legislation, and contributing to menu and product development. You will also play a vital role in maintaining training records and supporting audit processes to ensure high standards across the service.

What We Are Looking For From You
We are seeking a confident and proactive individual with experience in delivering training in a workplace setting. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of food safety and nutritional standards, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Experience in developing training materials and delivering sessions using various formats is essential, along with a good level of education and IT proficiency.
