The Head teacher and governing body of Marshfield Primary are seeking to appoint an outstanding and enthusiastic Senior Support Officer. The position calls for an innovative professional with the expertise to lead successful teams within our school. The position allows the opportunity for you to be responsible for the organisation and management of all administrative operations and to join the successful team of this highly successful, busy and vibrant school. It is essential that the candidate is exceptionally organised, calm, friendly and systematic in their approach which, in turn leads to the smooth running of the school. You will be expected to liaise regularly with the Headteacher, SLT and Governing Body.
Applications are invited from experienced, enthusiastic and committed support officers who wish to join our dedicated team.
You will be responsible for:
• Administration
• Office Management
• Management of school finances
• The school site (buildings and grounds), including organising repairs, maintenance and cleaning
• Health, Safety and risk assessment procedures
• Managing and developing the use of school facilities, including after school clubs, out of school clubs and lettings
• Line management of staff: administration staff team, caretaker and breakfast club staff
• CPD/HR systems
• Monitoring staff/ pupil attendance
Holidays must be taken during school closure periods. The appointment process will involve an interview with members of the school leadership team and a selection of Governors.
This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS).
Closing Date: Thursday, 30th November
Shortlisting Date: Friday, 1st December
Interview /Task Date: Wednesday 6th December
