An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heat Pumps within the Building Services department at Cardiff and Vale College. This role will be based across campuses.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heat Pumps within the Building Services department at Cardiff and Vale College. This role will be based across campuses.
Responsibilities include:
- Undertaking of all pedagogic work such as lesson preparation, workshop and workshop practical preparation, classroom teaching, workshop teaching, tutorial work and marking.
- Workshop preparation such as keeping all tools, materials, and equipment in a serviceable condition.
- Conducting student assessments in order to place students, monitor progress and identify learning support needs
- Providing appropriate student support in order to meet both the academic and welfare needs of learners and ensuring that all relevant information is recorded on the appropriate College systems
- Undertaking all organisational and administrative work associated with the above. This includes, inter alia, attending team meetings, taking part in professional development activities and staff appraisals, maintaining accurate teaching-related records including details of assessment and attendance
- Taking part in course evaluation activities and contributing to the development of the curriculum
- An involvement in marketing, i.e. identification of consumer requirements, creating appropriate publicity materials and working with external agencies where appropriate
- Welsh language skills would be desirable for this role but not essential.
