Role: Youth Tutor Specialist – Support Teaching and Learning in School, Level 2
If you have experience as a teacher or Teaching Assistant with a CAVA Award, we love to hear from you!
We are looking to recruit a hardworking and motivated individual to join our growing team as a Specialist Tutor to deliver a Level 2 Qualification to deliver the award in Support teaching and Learning in Schools. As a tutor you will work with our youth learners to attain a qualification through the delivery of classroom and vocational assessment and training.
Salary Banding: £24,500 - £27,000
Location: Cardiff and Newport
Contract type: Permanent
Working hours: 35 Hours a week, Monday to Friday 9.00am – 4.30pm

What are the core responsibilities of this role?
• Delivering specialist route in Support teaching and Learning in School- supporting learners within workshop or one to one setting to enhance their qualifications.
• Develop creative lesson plans.
• Registering, arranging, conducting, and invigilating controlled tasks with learners undertaking their Qualification in line with award body requirements
• Supporting learners to achieve their qualifications to a quality standard in a timely fashion.

What skills and experience are we looking for from potential applicants?
Essential
• A minimum of Level 3 within the industry.
• Qualified Assessor .
• Full driving license
Desirable
• City & Guilds 9300 Level 2 in supporting Adults and Young People in Essential Skills
• Engaging and inspirational training / delivery style
• Ability to speak Welsh desirable.
