Our school is home to a large, successful and dynamic Early Years Unit, where learning is authentic and play-based, responsive to the needs of our children and driven by the 'Three Enablers' - enabling adults, engaging experiences and effective environments.

The Role

We are seeking an outstanding practitioner with experience of teaching and planning within the Early Years and Progression Step One to join our team. This role requires a teacher who is passionate about play-based pedagogy and has a deep understanding of the Three Enablers.

You will play a key role in shaping high-quality provision within a dynamic, complex and rewarding Early Years setting.

This post is temporary in the first instance, with the vision of a permanent contract following the first year if possible.

The successful candidate will-
  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner with a strong Foundation Learning background or a passion for early childhood development
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of play-based learning and child-centred pedagogy
  • Have a secure knowledge of the Three Enablers and how these translate into high-quality provision
  • Be innovative, reflective and adaptable within a fast-paced and evolving environment
  • Place pupil wellbeing, inclusion and equity at the heart of their practice
  • Be committed to supporting children with a wide range of needs, including those with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
  • Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
  • Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team ethos
