The Governing body of Llangiwg Primary School seek to appoint suitably qualified, caring and committed 1:1 Level 2 teaching assistant.

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant (1:1) to work within our Early Years setting. The successful candidate will provide individualised support for a pupil with additional learning needs, helping to ensure they are fully included in school life and able to access the curriculum.
The post holder will:
- Provide 1:1 support for a pupil in Early Years, tailored to meet their specific learning, emotional and developmental needs
- Support the class teacher in delivering a broad and balanced curriculum
- Help create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
- Promote the pupil's independence, wellbeing and social development
- Work closely with teaching staff, ALNCo, external professionals and parents/carers
- Have experience of working with young children, ideally within an Early Years setting
- Be patient, caring and able to build strong, positive relationships
- Have an understanding of supporting pupils with additional learning needs (ALN)
- Demonstrate flexibility, teamwork and a proactive approach
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

The salary stated will be subject to a term time only adjustment for the commencement of employment outside of the start date of 1 st September.
