Finance Assistant
At Itec we could have the role for you! I We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic candidate to support our Finance department to support, facilitate and record the day-to-day financial transactions of the company.
Salary Banding: £17,290
Location: Itec House, Cardiff
Contract: Full time, Permanent
Hours of work: - 35hrs.
Working hours:- Monday to Friday 9:00am to 4:30pm

What are the core responsibilities of this role?

• To maintain the purchase ledger ensuring that accurate and up to date information is available at all times.
• Provide support to internal staff and external customers answering financial queries in a timely manner
• Processing and supervision of supplier payments
• Breakdown and reconciliation of weekly trainee payments for Sage
• Monthly bank reconciliation (Current; Interest and Petty Cash)
• To support the finance team with staff mileage and expenses claims
• Reconciliation of company bank accounts
• To support the finance team with carrying out regular departmental audits
• To support the finance team with the day-to-day accounting functions
• Supporting, as required in relation to stationary orders
• Supporting, as required in relation to buildings and facilities
• To support the Finance Manager and colleagues, as required in all aspects of the finance departments duties.



What skills and experience and skills are we looking for from potential applicants?

Essential Criteria

• GCSE mathematics or equivalent
• Good organisational skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail
• Full driving license with use of own vehicle

Desirable criteria

• AAT part of full qualified
• Previous administrative experience
• Previous experience in a financial role
• Knowledge of Sage Line 50



This role is subject to a DBS check. The cost of the DBS check will be met by the company
